Hair Care SystemClinical StudyStudy measures decreases hair loss during combing, while reducing breakage and increasing thickness and volume. Abstract The ProSanté Hair Care System was independently clinically tested using thirty-three men and women between the ages of 25 and 55 who reported experiencing minor to moderate hair loss and normal to thin hair. Approximately half of this group of subjects had normal-to-oily hair while the remaining subjects had normal-to-dry hair. The subjects used a standard shampoo for 7 days to standardize the condition of their hair. They were then evaluated: All of the hair lost from two combings was collected, weighed and microscopically evaluated. The numbers of broken and growing hairs were individually counted. Also, at least 10 hairs were plucked from the head of selected test subjects and the hairs were microscopically evaluated to determine the ratio of actively growing to non-growing hairs. The diameter of the hair was also measured. The subjects were then given the ProSanté Hair Care System determined to be correct for their hair type to use for 90 days. After 30, 60 and 90 days of use, the condition of each subject's hair was evaluated using the above method. Each subject also completed a questionnaire about their perception of the condition of their hair at each laboratory visit. Conclusion Used as a system, ProSanté has been clinically proven to naturally and dramatically reduce hair loss during combing, visibly increase thickness and volume, and reduce breakage for all hair types.
